Hello! I'm Bayley
Some of my earliest memories as a child are going to the seaside with my Nana, taking loads of photos on her disposable camera, and then taking them to the supermarket to be developed. I distinctly remember being mesmerised by the idea that our memories had been frozen in time on a little print that I could keep forever.
Whilst my equipment is a bit more sophisticated these days, i'm still fascinated by the idea that a single snapshot can transport us back decades, allowing us to relive every emotion and every sensation from that day.
Photography is, in my opinion, one of the greatest gifts of our time (imagine a world where photos didn't exist!), and being able to capture your day with a gallery of images that have all of the raw emotion and feeling from that day is magic to me.
My Approach
This is your day, with your people - my job is to capture all of the details and tiny moments that unfold naturally. My style combines a documentary approach with an elevated look resulting in images that are timeless yet modern with an editorial feel.
I like to be unobtrusive and discreet on your wedding day - like a guest who happens to be a photographer. I follow the flow of the day, capturing all the blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments. When we get to certain points in the day such as couple photos, I do step up and give a bit more direction, with prompts that make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and get you both looking your best.
I take on a very limited amount of commissions per year so I can give my absolute all into every wedding, and so it's important to me that we are a match for each other. My work is based around a strong sense of collaboration, I want to know all of the little details you have put into your day, I want you to send me your Pinterest board of everything you love, I want us both to share the same vision for your day so you can relax, live in the moment, and trust my natural creative direction.
With a background in Marketing and Commercial Photography, I know how much goes into a photo - and I know what looks good.
Despite being easy going, I take my job very seriously - I never take for granted that you have chosen me to capture one of the most important days of your life, and I put my absolute all into our journey to deliver a gallery that we are both in love with.
